The Shelby Mustang series continues to better itself with the new Shelby GT500 being the latest in a long line of high-performance Shelby Mustang models. This model of the Shelby Mustang is regarded as the most powerful of its series, equipped with a supercharged V8 engine that produces 662 hp and 631 lb-foot of torque. The maximum speed of the automobile is 202 miles/hour.

This version is an upgrade on previous versions of the Shelby Mustang for a number of reasons. Some of the most notable revisions to the Shelby Mustang series is the integration of twin fuel pumps, a more sensitive and larger clutch, a three-row intercooler, and bigger fuel injections. The Shelby Mustang GT500 is also equipped with new a LED tail light arrangement. The vehicle has and continues to receive rave reviews from automobile critics around the world.

 

History of Shelby Cobra Mustangs
There is no doubt that the Shelby Mustang is one of the most celebrated cars in the United States. The Shelby Mustang was developed in collaboration with the Ford Motor Company and encountered unprecedented success between the years of 1965 and 1967, and 1968 to 1970. The Shelby Mustang models are still in production today and they continue to be among the company’s best-selling models.

Since its inception, the Shelby brand has always been synonymous with exceptional performance. The automotive powerhouse was founded by former racing driver, Carroll Hall Shelby in the year 1965, initially as a high-performance driving academy. Shelby worked closely with Ford in its early years, contributing heavily to the designs of famous models like the Shelby GT35- and Shelby GT500, among others. Over the years, Shelby broadened its horizons collaborating with other household automotive names like Dodge and Oldsmobile.
